The MWS .308 large caliber lower is for the individual that wants a high quality lower but doesn't need all the features of the MARS lower. The LMT MWS lower receiver can be built out with ambidextrous a ambidextrous selector and magazine release, leaving only the bolt catch / release as non-ambidextrous. The ambidextrous magazine release is machined directly into the receiver and are very intuitive. This “stripped†requires the LMT .308 lower parts kit to complete.
LMT MWS lower receivers are only guaranteed compatible with LMT upper receivers. Other brands may not fit or function correctly.
