This system utilizes the patented LMT MRP barrel assembly and allows for quick barrel changes at the user level. With the ability to configure one rifle for different mission scenarios in minutes, the LMT MRP system is the Next Generation AR platform. The Shovelnose MRP upper was designed for the LMT 5.56mm Piston barrels, specifically the 12", 14.5", and 16". However, it will also work with the LMT 5.56mm and 300BLK DI barrels ranging in length from 12.5" to 20". This upper features a larger internal diameter allowing for the installation and removal of any LMT barrel without removing MLOK accessories.
This upper has been finished at the Factory with Cerakote Gen II Coating for Reduced Weapons Visual IR Signature Detection.
